Pico de Loro, Summit

Song of the Moment: Hold Me, Savage Garden
To Do (tasks, not people): rein in my expenses, har har har
Current State: eye irritated
~~~~~~~~~~
pictures from Erik after my batteries conked out on me. Summit pictures. Lovely, lovely scenery from above.
i wish i could say that's us on the rock formation peak, but unfortunately it's not. we were on the main summit, with this view in front of us. quite frankly i am just plain too chicken shit to climb that rock without rapelling gear.
melody and i with manila bay behind us.
bluehearts at the peak. the winds are scary, believe me. scarier than the hair on my legs. hehehehe!
back from aurora! :D
Song of the Moment: Say It, Voices of Theory
To Do (tasks, not people): rest!
Current State: exhausted and stinky
~~~~~~~~~~

am back in town (not that it seemed like i left anyway). but i just have to say this -- after 8 hours on the road, including 3 hours in what is called 'bituka ng manok', i must say that Aurora is probably one of the most beautiful places in the country. the stiff neck, the stinky clothes and the sand-covered malong, blankets, sandals and all that usok and alikabok from the sierra madres -- they're all worth it.

i loved this trip so much that at one poiint my handheld memory was down to 411KB and it was a wonder it didn't crash! and i filled up my SD Card with pics and videos (!!!) that now i have to do a major upload on monday.

but first it's time to get back home and take a shower. i have never been this exhausted, not even on my climbs.

but one image that will forever stick with me: the sand on my toes and the waves of baler bay at midnight. awesome.

Song of the Moment: Do You Sleep, Lisa Loeb
To Do (tasks, not people): nothing! yey!
Current State: satisfied

the advance party, on our way to getting lost

on a saturday morning, the sun biting on our skin and with only 1.5L of personal water it was no small wonder i got dehydrated soon afterwards, hehe.

walking wounded, when i tripped and a branch off a tree hit my foot

lunch break on the trail -- a usual no-no but we were so exhausted by this time. 1pm.

so near and yet so far...

the view of the peak from our campsite. the late party would not meet us until the following day because they were apparently on the other side, hehe.

for the sake of a post

Song of the Moment: Unbelievable, Craig David
To Do (tasks, not people): wash my face
Current State: poopy
~~~~~~~~~~
tony asks me this morning why i haven't blogged in weeks. well, let's see. aside form being all over my steven for the past month, it seems i'm stuck with two unpalatable topics neither of which i relish expounding on.
one, i could write about a fight i had with somebody, but i'm big enough to move on and beyond people who don't matter much.
or two, i could write about revel bars and why i find them special but i don't want to end up leaving work to zoom off some place to hang around and end up even more confused than i already am.
so with these choices at hand i think i'd rather tinker around some more with zlauncher and all those wonderful freeware they have at palmgear.
oh and yeah, get some work done na lang. hehe.
